Sorsa's Story

Our founder, Sophia started making jewellery again after her second son was born. Designing and creating jewellery became a therapeutic space for her to unwind and a way to reconnect with her creative self. Sorsa's evolution was a natural process. Initially, Sophia designed pieces for friends and family, but as demand grew, her creative outlet transformed into a career.

Before starting Sorsa, Sophia earned a MSc of Environmental Design & Engineering from UCL. Her background of sustainability and design plays a large role in the mission of Sorsa. Sustainability is a core of her ethos. Every unique design is made by hand, with zero waste. We use solid gold, mostly recycled or vintage, to reduce our carbon footprint. We source the highest quality materials that are designed to last a lifetime.

Our specialty lies in the art of hand-knotted gemstone jewellery. Our designs are created with precious and semi-precious gemstone beads, solid gold and natural silk. Each piece is inspired by nature and handcrafted with love. Our gemstone jewellery embodies modern elegance and is a beautiful way to express your unique style. We currently create gemstone necklaces, bracelets, and handbag straps. Our materials are all thoughtfully selected from nature and handmade in England.
